What is the difference between Mass and Weight?

This is crucial: Mass is how much "stuff" you are made of (measured in kg). Weight is how hard gravity pulls on that stuff (measured in Newtons).

If you go to the market to buy meat, you are paying for the mass. If you took that meat to the moon, it would have the same mass (same protein!) but it would weigh very little because gravity is weak there.
