DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) is a molecule that carries the genetic instructions for the development, functioning, growth, and reproduction of all known living organisms. It has a double helix structure made up of two strands of nucleotides. Each nucleotide contains a sugar (deoxyribose), a phosphate group, and one of four nitrogenous bases: Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Guanine (G), and Cytosine (C). A always pairs with T, and G always pairs with C.
