This is a real challenge for us in Nigeria. I suggest getting a power bank for your phone and using it to read documentation or watch downloaded tutorials when the light is out. Use your laptop's battery strictly for typing code.

Also, 'paper coding'—writing logic in a physical notebook—is a great way to practice when you have no power at all.
