How are images stored in a computer?

Images are broken down into tiny dots called Pixels. Each pixel has a color, and that color is stored as a number (or a set of numbers for Red, Green, and Blue).

A high-quality photo has millions of these dots. Your code can change these numbers to filter an image or create an animation. It's all just math at the end of the day!
